Land and Sea

£550.00

Hand drawn in permanent, fade and water proof fine line pens and alcohol markers. Finished with a UV Matte spray varnish. Signed on back.

This is a one-of-a-kind, unique drawing, without prints.

Inspired by imagining the natural world at a cellular level. I feel deeply connected to nature and its a constant source of inspiration. I’ve always been fascinated by the colours and shapes in the details and the reoccurring patterns. This series of drawings is inspired by the rolling hills and forests where I live in the South Downs National Park in Hampshire as well as the local coastline which I’m naturally drawn to.

I began developing my style of drawing after discovering microscopic patterns seen in micrographs of plant cells, only accessible under a microscope. Around the same time I discovered the detailed illustrations by Ernst Haeckel a 19th century biologist and artist. For the last 7 years I have been experimenting and developing my drawing technique, trying different mediums and moving from abstract shapes  and patterns towards landscapes.

Measurements: A2 / 59.5 x 42 cm

Sold in a white frame with flexiglass (may differ from image, photos available on request).

Shipping: UK postage and packaging is included in the price. For international postage rates please see the shipping information page for details in the website footer. This is a medium parcel.
